El indigenismo es ancho y ajeno propone una reflexión crítica sobre varias obras literarias hispanoamericanas relevantes por su abordaje del tema indígena pero no suficientemente conocidas por los lectores del país y el continente o no consideradas por la crítica desde la perspectiva indigenista. Este conjunto de ensayos devela, en las obras y géneros que aborda (novela, poesía y narrativa testimonial), asuntos como la representación del sujeto indígena y el sentir que se le atribuye, las visiones sobre su situación, los elementos históricos frente a los ficcionales y el estatuto del testimonio indígena, mostrando el trasegar de estos y, sobre todo, su plasmación literaria a lo largo de más de un siglo, desde 1906 hasta el 2012. El texto contribuye a este campo de estudios con un enfoque interdisciplinario que acude tanto a los estudios literarios como a la antropología. |
